Hi all, The bandwidth meter is pretty handy, especially if one has an asynchronous connection (like me). I was wondering, though, what do all the colors mean? Here's my guesses: Blue: My downloads. Yellow: My uploads. Orange: Others' searches? Network overhead? Pink: My searches? My search responces?

I went to CNET.com's bandwidth meter site and checked the connection because the DSL connection seemed very slow. I ranked very low at 70 kbps multiple times throughout the day. I'm certain this isn't an OS issue, most likely it's on the ISP side. I'm realy just looking for opinions that could lead to a faster

You clearly don't need a bandwidth meter to help you decide which of the two looks better. What makes you think other people do? And would knowing that Living+1 actually had *more* bandwidth than Living actually make you watch Living+1 instead of Living, simply because a number says it *has* to be better?

Bandwidth caps are fairly common in the ISP world. Broadband created a demand for content, now the broadband suppliers want to cash in on the demand. There is very little broadband offers in most African nations, as most of the telephone infra structure is in a bad state. "TOMMY Tutalidge" <j.shie...@sympatico.ca>
